The Scriptures have never been more readily available to the masses in all of history than they are right now. And yet, biblical illteracy is a spiritual pandemic even among those who claim to be faithful Christians. Church pews are filled with people who can't answer basic Bible questions. Many "workmen" either aren't studying the Bible or they don't know how to –– or both.
Kurios Ministries exists to fill that (admittedly large) gap. We want to propagate and promulgate the word of God, and fill our communities with our doctrine while doing it, God willing. We want to rightly divide the Scriptures, and while we're doing it, model for others how to read the Bible and learn to study it for themselves.
And not for our sake. Not for our glory. We will pass from this life and be forgotten, but the truth will go on and on and on. If we can help equip you in the knowledge of God's word, that means you can help others. We're talking multi-generational impact here. God's word is an invaluable treasure, the riches of which never cease to amaze. It is our privilege, pleasure, and duty before a holy and gracious God to lay truth out before you, to the praise of the glory of His grace.
Matt has been a Bible teacher for over thirty years, pastoring churches in Kentucky, Ohio, and his native state of North Carolina. He holds to the promise that Jesus will transform His humble state into conformity with the body of His glory (Eph 2:21), and he wants to see that happen for others as well. The avenue through which serve the Lord in this is to teach others what the Bible says, and how they can study it for themselves.
Matt is married to Liz and they have six children: Joshua, Lilyann, Hannah, Julianne, and two who were taken by the Lord while in the womb. Matt lives in Indian Trail, NC. His interests include music, history, and sports.
